Earthmover Credit Union Ranked #21 in the United States

OSWEGO, Ill. — Earthmover Credit Union (ECU) ranked #21 in the 100 best-performing credit unions in the United States by S&P Global Market Intelligence.

“It is an honor to be recognized by S&P Global Market Intelligence,” ECU President/CEO Kelly McDonough said. “ECU works hard to be good stewards of our members’ money and to invest those funds entrusted to us in sound and prudent ways that provide good returns to our members.”

ECU has served the community since 1958 and offers competitive financial products and services to lead to financial wellness. Only four other Illinois-based credit unions made this nationwide list. This prestigious designation indicates ECU’s strength as a financial institution. S&P Global Market Intelligence’s annual rankings were calculated using multiple performance metrics. In 2021, ECU ranked #18 in the organization’s annual national rankings.
“S&P Global Market Intelligence’s rankings establishes high standards against which it measures our success,” said McDonough. “We’re delighted to once again be recognized as a leading credit union.”

ECU is a not-for-profit full-service banking institution that has been serving its members for over 60 years. Membership is available to anyone living or working in one of the following counties: Kendall, Kane, DuPage, Will, LaSalle, DeKalb and Grundy. As a not-for-profit organization, Earthmover returns its earnings to its members through lower loan rates, higher savings rates, lower fees and more. ECU currently provides banking services to over 29,000 members at its six branch offices, located in Yorkville, Montgomery, Oswego, Aurora and North Aurora, as well as a student-run branch in the Oswego High School. Michele Bergeron Joins Credit Union Board

OSWEGO, Ill. — Oswegoland Senior & Community Center Executive Director Michele Bergeron recently joined the Earthmover Credit Union (ECU) Board of Directors.

“Her combination of executive experience and boundless energy will bring a new and high energized dynamic to our team,” ECU President/CEO Kelly McDonough said.

Bergeron holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Lewis University. Starting her career at the Village of Oswego in community relations, she transitioned into non-profit work as the Development Manager of the Paramount Theatre in Aurora. Prior to her current position at the Oswegoland Senior & Community Center, Bergeron was Senior Director of Development and Engagement at Fox Valley United Way. Bergeron will bring her specialization in fundraising, strategic planning and community engagement to ECU.

“She has tremendous roots in the Fox Valley community and will help us as we continue our mission of service here,” McDonough said.

A proud Oswego resident, Bergeron enjoys serving the community as an Oswego Rotarian, Greater Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce Board member and volunteer for the Food Pantry at Big Life Community Church.

KenCom is the Kendall County Telecommunications Center that dispatches for five police and eight fire agencies in the area. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We answer our communities 9-1-1 and non-emergency lines to aid in your time of need no matter the circumstance. Your worst day, is our everyday.

The employees of KenCom created the KenCom Cares Group in 2019 in an effort to give back to our employees and boost morale. Our job can be stressful and overwhelming at times, so we try to host events to celebrate our coworkers, as well as fellow first responder’s achievements and hard work. During the holidays while many are home celebrating with their families, our dispatchers and first responders are working to provide support and safety for our community. We try to coordinate meals and activities for the dispatchers that remain on duty during these special times.

We celebrate multiple events including National Telecommunicator Week, National Coroner Week, National Correctional Officer Week, National Firefighter’s Week, National Police Week, and National EMS Week. We also organize a collection of donations during the week of Christmas to give to the Kendall County Food Pantry.

National Telecommunicator Week is celebrated April 9th - April 15th, this year. We are reaching out to the companies and citizen’s we serve to look for their help in making this year’s Telecommunicators Week a successful one. We would greatly appreciate donations of any size or kind to raffle off, so we can continue to support the men and women who serve here at KenCom.

If you would like to participate in making a donation, please contact: KenCom Cares Coordinator: Kayla Cluchey – 630-957-8871 – kcluchey@kencom911.com
