Q&A With Ben Krieger

Ben Krieger is a junior theatre major and an aspiring singer-songwriter, as well as an actor. Krieger has been cast in national tours of Broadway shows, plays guitar and sings at local venues, and most recently, adapted a role in a Nickelodeon show. 

"Going to Dreyfoos, my acting skills have gotten so much better", says Krieger.

Manuel Alex Ramírez: Inspiring Saxophonist

M. Alex Ramírez, music - band class of '14, has recorded with Grammy winning artists and producers, performs as the saxophonist for the Afro-Colombian group Rebolu, and composed the musical score for an Avianca Airlines commercial.

While Ramírez was a student at Dreyfoos, he performed at SOAFI events, an experience that he says introduced the importance of creating and fostering musical communities in artistic spheres.

Maribel Alvarez & Arron Tsipis: Volunteer Fundraisers

Maribel Alvarez and Arron Tsipis, volunteered their time and worked to collect over $40,000 in donations to form and endow the Duke Nelson Memorial Scholarship. 

“I hope it changes somebody's life,” Alvarez said of the scholarship. “I want to make a difference, that's all. A positive difference gives somebody the opportunity they wouldn't have otherwise.”
