Register for the LWV IL Biennial Convention in Des Plaines, June 9-11.  Click on the link to register for the pre-convention workshops (Friday, June 9, from 1:00 - 4:30 pm) in addition to the plenary sessions on Saturday and Sunday.  Convention registration.

Interested in learning more about local government?  Then become a League Observer.  You will attend monthly municipal board meetings and write-up short overviews of the proceedings.  Even though our villages have highly involved citizens, sometimes a League Observer is the only audience.  Check out this list for openings.  Contact Mary Haley with any questions.

Did you attend one of the Candidate Forums we held this past election season? The League can always use moderators to work our own forums or those of other Leagues. And now there is an opportunity to get Moderator Training so you can step up to the podium and ask the questions.  On Saturday, April 29, from 9:30-1:00 pm, LWV Chicago will sponsor training to organize, assist, and moderate a candidate forum.  RSVP your interest to LWV Chicago.
