Kimmera Wilson, Outreach and Education Coordinator for San Francisco Suicide Prevention, is a San Francisco native whose smile grows even wider when she gets to talk about her work. Kimmera joined SFSP's dedicated and hardworking staff in January 2020.

"I was on a search for work that I could be passionate about,” Kimmera said. “A lot of my undergrad and graduate studies ended up revolving around learning about suicide, specifically within the black community. I didn't necessarily want to be a therapist or a counselor but wanted work dealing directly with people."

Tickle Now, Laugh Later

LAUGHS FOR LIFE April 20, 2021

For the month of April, San Francisco Suicide Prevention and Felton Institute launched Tickle Now, Laugh Later, a celebration campaign to raise awareness for suicide prevention. Supporters were asked to share a joke on social media on April 20.

When Crisis Calls: San Francisco Suicide Prevention Answers

San Francisco Suicide Prevention (SFSP) is much more than a 24-hour crisis hotline. This Felton program is also about creating a culture that's well-informed about mental health through education and community programs, as well as supporting those affected by suicide.
