April 2020
The Stay Home - Stay Healthy order, in place in order to slow the spread of COVID-19 allows essential businesses to continue to operate provided safety measures are in place. Good news! Birthday Dreams is allowed to continue to operate as an essential business. We are working hard to fulfill urgent birthday requests while maintaining the health and safety of our employees and the community we serve. For example,
only one employee is permitted in the office at a time and we are constantly cleaning and sanitizing, we are delivering but not facilitating shelter parties. Learn more here .

We are grateful that Birthday Dreams continues to bring hope, joy and a sense of self-worth to homeless children with the gift of a birthday party.
And excited to share that last month we reached a major milestone when we delivered our 9,000th birthday!!!

Spotlight on Volunteer Debbie Panks
"I found out about Birthday Dreams on Martin Luther King Day when I was looking for volunteer opportunities. Birthdays have always been a big deal to me and my family, so when I found Birthday Dreams I thought it was the perfect place for me. I love the fact that I can make birthdays a "big deal" for kids who might not have had a memorable birthday. The Birthday-In-A-Box is an amazing idea that I get to deliver!!!! I absolutely LOVE it!"

" We have been homeless for seven years. I literally and exhausted... my financial income is embarrassing. My kids do deserve the most. Every child deserves to be loved...Us parents who can't afford all of the Birthday items to show love for our kids is very embarrassing and sad for our kids and us parents."

"...We are so grateful for Birthday Dream. Please never stop. I can not explain everyone's struggles or every struggle of our own. Toys and cake will always cheer anyone up. We thank you."

"During these troubled time those items donated by a precious caring family to have blessed mine, made our child's year!..."
Words from a Parent
After every party, we invite parents and shelters to provide us with feedback to help us improve our service to the community. The feedback also provides us with valuable insight on the impact our organization has on families.

The adjacent feedback and illustration, provided by a homeless mother of four, touched our hearts. With her permission we are sharing it with you; it is why we are so passionate about what we do.

Our thanks to all of you who are a part of our Birthday Dreams family.
