Master's Degree Program: National Taiwan University Award in Biodiversity (Taiwan) - New Award

"Awards are available to pursue a full-time master’s degree program in Biodiversity at National Taiwan University (NTU). The program is taught in English. The Master's Program in Biodiversity (MPB) is cross-disciplinary in nature. It aims to cultivate talent with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in biodiversity conservation and management as well as awareness of international biodiversity governance. . . . Candidates must have received a bachelor's degree prior to enrollment and intend to pursue a two-year master's degree."

NAF-Fulbright/Heersink Family Foundation Fellowship in Global Health (Netherlands) - New Award

"This Fellowship supports research related to global health and foodborne illness and is distributed by the Netherland-America Foundation with funding from the Heersink Family Foundation. . . . Candidates at all degree levels will be considered, in addition to applicants who can carry out well-formulated independent research projects, and those who combine research and advanced graduate courses and seminars at Dutch universities. The candidate's field of study and proposal should be related to one of the following areas: food safety and delivery, infectious diseases, maternal health, and/or cancer. A cross-disciplinary approach with business, computer science, and ethics is appealing but not required."

Chile Science Initiative Award (Chile)

"Graduate students conducting thesis or dissertation research are preferred. However, graduating seniors and recent graduates will be considered with projects proposing audited coursework and a research project. . . . Applications from candidates in science and technology fields are especially welcome. Topics concerning astronomy, earth sciences, engineering, mathematics, biology, geology, food science, forestry, mining, oceanography, aquaculture, energy, biotechnology, physics, environmental sciences, ecology and chemistry are of particular interest."

Fulbright-Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation Award for Research in Science and Technology (Austria)

"Fulbright Austria (Austrian-American Educational Commission) offers up to five Fulbright–Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation Awards for full-time research. These grants are generously funded by the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation and intended for PhD candidates in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines and related fields. Applications from highly qualified graduate students and recent undergraduates with strong project proposals in relevant fields will also be considered."

Fulbright/Casten Family Foundation Award at the University of Gastronomic Sciences (Italy)

"The Master's program provides an advanced introduction to the world's food cultures and systems with an emphasis on issues of food sustainability and food sovereignty. The program intends to train students to become holistic gastronomes, i.e. gastronomes who can understand and critically reflect upon food culture and history; food anthropology and ecology; and sensory and aesthetic features linked to local food production, gastronomies, and their attached sociabilities. The aim of the Master's program is to provide students with the means to become professionals who will be cultural mediators in food production, distribution, marketing/communication, as well as in the educational and food culture and systems."

Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships in Public Health (Multiple Countries)

"The Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships in Public Health are offered through a partnership between the Fulbright Program and the Fogarty International Center of the U.S. National Institutes of Health. These awards were established to promote the expansion of research in public health and clinical research in resource-limited settings. . . . By the start of the program year (July 2025), fellows must be an MD (and other professional degrees) student who has completed their 3rd year or a Ph.D. candidate who has completed their Master’s level requirements (i.e., post-qualifying exam). . . . For the 2025-2026 academic year, Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowship placements will be available in the countries listed below:


Fulbright/Lancaster University Award in Faculty of Science and Technology (United Kingdom)

"The Fulbright Lancaster University Award in STEM covers the first year of any Master’s degree programme offered by the Faculty of Science and Technology. . . . We offer Master's degrees in the following areas: Cyber Security, Data Science, Engineering, Environment, Psychology, [and] Statistics."

Fulbright/Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland PhD Award (Ireland)

"The purpose of this grant is to enable US citizens who are resident in the US to complete a fully funded PhD at RCSI over a period of 4 years. . . . The program aims to encourage scientists to develop innovative research projects in one of RCSI's areas of research strength, including but not limited to: Cancer, Neurological and Psychiatric Disorders, Population Health and Health Services, Biomaterials, Medical Devices and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Surgical Science and Practice Vascular Biology. . . . Must be holders of an honours bachelor degree, grade 2.1 or above, or a Master’s degree from a Recognised College in a relevant discipline. Applicants may use the GPA calculator to determine equivalency."

Fulbright/University of Stirling Award in Health, Well-Being and Sport (United Kingdom)

"One award is offered to pursue a one-year Master's degree (or the first year of a longer Master's or Ph.D. degree program) in any discipline related to Health, Well-Being, and Sport at University of Stirling."

Fulbright/Western Sydney University Scholarship in the Arts, Environment, & Public Health (Australia)

"The Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarship funded by Western Sydney University will attract a diverse range of exceptional applicants who have recently completed their undergraduate studies and who are seeking to undertake 8-10 months of study/research in an area of focus for the University. Candidates can consider Master's programs at the University but tuition funding is not guaranteed."

Master's Degree Program Awards: National Taiwan University Awards in Global Health (Taiwan)

"Awards are available to pursue a full-time Master's degree in Global Health at National Taiwan University (NTU). The program is taught in English. . . . Candidates must have received a Bachelor's degree prior to enrollment and intend to pursue a two-year Master's degree. Strong academic credentials in their area of specialization are expected. A good capacity for studying and living in a cross-cultural setting is necessary."

U.S.-Korea Presidential STEM Initiative Award (Republic of Korea)

"Designed to promote academic and cultural exchange, Study/Research Awards, like those under the STEM Initiative, provide the opportunity for enthusiastic and accomplished graduating college seniors, graduate students, and young professionals to pursue independent research projects in Korea on a topic of their choice. Student researchers are sought from all disciplines within STEM (including in emerging technologies) and from all degree levels (Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral). Grants are awarded through an open competition to support exploration of a wide range of academic pursuits."
