Now Accepting Applications for our Business Support Programs

PSU Business Outreach Program (BOP) is looking for motivated entrepreneurs who are seeking long-term assistance to help grow their business or business idea.
 

We currently have a limited number of spaces available to individuals looking to receive business support and advisory services through the our Economic Opportunity Initiative and our Business Development Support Program. These programs provide 1-3 years of personalized business support and technical assistance.

Program Services Include:

  • One-on-one consulting and advisory support from a professional BOP Business Advisor
  • Additional support from PSU interns in Marketing and Accounting 
  • Technical assistance, strategic direction and support in:
    • Business plan development
    • Marketing
    • Management practices
    • Business operations
    • Human resources
    • Budgeting, forecasting and loan readiness
    • QuickBooks and bookkeeping training
  • Access to market research services
  • Assistance with credit building (if qualified)
  • Pro-bono or reduced cost legal assistance (if qualified)
  • Invitations to Learn+Network events with subject matter guest speakers.

About PSU Business Outreach Program:

PSU Business Outreach Program (BOP) provides technical assistance and business consulting services to locally owned, small businesses, with a focus on emerging, minority, and women-owned enterprises. In 1994 the BOP was developed to meet the needs of small businesses by assisting entrepreneurs in improving their profitability and survivability, while at the same time, allowing PSU students to engage in community-based learning with first-hand business consulting experience.
