A Summer Full of Sunshine
|
As we prepare for our 21st sunny day of the market season, we find ourselves overwhelmed with gratitude. Twenty-one rain free Saturdays is pretty astounding. The gorgeous weather has allowed our farmers to enjoy a stellar growing season, with some of the sweetest corn and best tasting tomatoes we've ever had. And the market attracted record numbers of visitors, including many first timers. Tomorrow marks the last Saturday of summer, but boy do we love September. It's that magical month when the summer and fall harvests overlap, resulting in a list of fruits and veggies a mile long. Sweet potatoes, butternut squash and apples share the stage with peaches, melons, corn and more. So please come join us for another lovely day in the heart of our awesome little City. #SeeYouintheCircle

24rd Anniversary!
Weyerbacher is celebrating their 24th with something a bit atypical for Weyerbacher… Formulated in the cold of winter and inspired by their love of summer, Weyerbacher brings you their 24rd Anniversary Beer, an Imperial Mexican-Style Lager. Crisp and bold with notes of flaked maize, lime peel and oak tannins. Check out this week's other offerings below:
Dallas Sucks-This one’s for the FANS! If there’s one thing that most of the NFC east can agree on, it’s that DALLAS SUCKS! Flavor forward, this brew was made for tailgating in parking lots, celebrating first downs and big hits, high-fiving friends and basking in the thrill of victory. This totally downable pale ale was brewed with our friends that bleed green at Jose Pistola’s!
Imperial Pumpkin Ale- This 8.0% ABV pumpkin ale is the mother of all pumpkin ales. It is heartier, spicier and more caramelly and pumpkiny than its faint brethren! We have added lots of pumpkin along with cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of cardamom and clove, giving this beer a spicy, full-bodied flavor.
Sexy MotherPucker- Inspired by a classic beverage blending lemonade and iced tea, Sexy MotherPucker is a 7.5% ABV sour ale with bright citrus notes. Amber hued, tangy and dry on the palate, this tart beer nicely balances sour and malt with a late addition of Citra hops to give it a nice citrus kick in both flavor and aroma.

Piper's Request is a band grounded in the roots of traditional Irish music, with tune sets forged in hundreds of pub sessions and the straight ahead songs of life, love, sorrow, laughter and, of course, whiskey, made famous by the Clancy Brothers, Tommy Makem, the Dubliner's and so many others. The band features Terry Hartzell on the uilleann pipes, flutes, and whistles; Fred Gilmartin on the banjo, mandolin, and fiddle; Rick Weaver on guitar, banjo, and octave mandolin; and vocals by Fred, Rick, and Megan Everett. Pull up a chair in the North Lawn of the Circle and get ready to enjoy this hand-clapping, foot-stomping and occasionally teardrop-invoking music from 10 am to 12 pm in the Music Tent.
