Accreditation Newsletter - Volume 8

January 31, 2024

Dear AVC Faculty,

Although we are already in the fourth week of the Spring Semester, I still want to wish you a Happy New Year!

I am delighted to inform you that our Accreditation journey is successful! The Accreditation Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) has Reaffirmed Antelope Valley College for another seven years! Congratulations to every one of us in AVC and the Communities that we serve.

The Reaffirmation comes with no compliance requirement, and there are no recommendations for improving institutional effectiveness.

Our next Midterm Report is due on October 15, 2027, while the ISER (Institutional Self-Evaluation Report) is due in the Spring of 2030. Here is the full Letter of Reaffirmation from the ACCJC posted on the Accreditation page on the College website.

Thanks to every one of you for your hard work and support. We did it! Please, email or call me if you have any questions: Morenike.adebayoige@avc.edu; Ext. 6812.

In Collaboration,

Morenike Adebayo-Ige.
