Ten years ago, Answer ALS didn't have a name, but the plan was developed to empower researchers around the world to help bring an end to ALS. In the video below, created when the program first began, every commitment made has been or is being met. Through a massive coordination of clinics, patient participants, leading research institutions, dedicated supporters, industry leaders, and the irrepressible mission to find treatments to stop the disease, we will continue until that mission is fulfilled.

Launched in January 2021, Answer ALS' Neuromine has combined clinical and biological data from over 1000 participants to generate a rich data resource for the global science community, allowing open access to this data to drive discovery faster. The unprecedented results only tell a fraction of the impact from this resource.

Below are just a few examples of the exciting research being done through access to Answer ALS resources!

Global Pharmaceutical Company

Exploring the underlying disease mechanism of ALS to accelerate targeted therapies.

US Based Research Institution

Working toward gene editing within a known gene mutation.

Multiple Institutions and Centers

Identifying ALS related pathways to further targeted discoveries.

Institution in Tunisia

Focused on using machine learning to stratify subtypes of the disease, further developing specific disease models.

European Pharmaceutical Company

Testing and validating for possible new drug targets.

Game Changer Classic: Lift Someone Up

Thanks to the incredible sponsors, participants, talent, and exceptional team members, the Game Changer Classic in Fort Worth on March 22nd and 23rd was a success. A Tribute to a Life Well Lived and Loved: Chace Brundige

Every diagnosis and every loss to ALS is as devastating as the one before. Chace Brundige only lived with ALS for a short time, but as in his life prior to ALS, he had a tremendous impact on us and all who knew and loved him.

Frederick "Chace" Brundige passed away peacefully on October 8, 2023, after battling ALS with astounding courage, determination, grace, and tenacity. He was 54 years old. He was a husband, father, son, brother, and loved by so many.

Chace was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Macquarie. In honor of Chace, Macquarie teams took to the streets to walk and raise awareness and funds for Answer ALS.

Jay's Done His Part

This is one of several videos highlighting the commitment of the ALS community in making this research possible. Jay Quinlan went to extraordinary lengths to participate in Answer ALS, as well as currently serving on its Board. Jay and over 1000 others have done their part; now, we are pushing research faster to do ours.
