One Bag Baby Blanket --

More Zen knitting

We like to talk about Zen knitting. Knitting and crocheting -- actually any creative endeavor -- should be a pathway to relaxing moments. Those are time to and let the mind rest from the concerns of the day.

The One Bag Baby Blanket Project is another good idea for zen knitting.

There are ten color choices — some neutral, some bright, some softer. If you think you’d like a blanket that’s larger — maybe to use as a lap blanket — order two bags.

A blanket project takes time — you won’t finish in an evening or in a weekend (unless you are a super knitter!), and that’s good. We need the touch of soft yarn and almost mindless stitches to take our brains to another place.

While you are placing an order, treat yourself to a new AddiTurbo circular needle. We’d suggest a 32” or 40” for knitting blankets. With the longer cable you can spread out the stitches and really see the progress of the knitting.

Crocheters, HiKoo Simpliworsted comes in a multitude of colors.

It would make wonderful granny squares for a baby blanket. Order a few skeins and get those hooks going on a new afghan or pillow project.
