MassHealth and Health Connector Redeterminations Presentation for Employers and Brokers
Federal COVID-related Medicaid coverage rules are ending in April 2023, which means hundreds of thousands of Massachusetts residents are expected to need new health insurance as their MassHealth coverage ends. MassHealth’s process of redetermining the eligibility of 2.3 million people who are currently MassHealth members will take approximately 12 months, starting in April 2023.
Many of those individuals who lose MassHealth coverage during this time may be employees who need coverage through their employer’s plan. Learn more here. View the slides from the recent webinar here.

Morton Hospital 1st in Region to Offer Inspire Therapy
Morton Hospital is now offering upper airway stimulation therapy “Inspire,” a breakthrough obstructive sleep apnea treatment option for those who cannot use or tolerate Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy. Morton Hospital is the first in the region to offer this treatment option, which involves an FDA-approved implantable device that prevents airway obstruction during sleep. Learn more.

Hackers Using Free QuickBooks Account to Create, Send Fake Invoices
Wright Technology Group (WTG) is warning businesses that hackers are sending a fake invoice from a legitimate QuickBooks domain. This email comes directly from QuickBooks and has a QuickBooks email address. It will pass all standard email authentication checks, domain checks and more. There’s nothing inherently wrong with the text and no malicious links. WTG recommends that users verify that an invoice received from QuickBooks is legitimate by calling the vendor.
