Cheer OLLI on from the curbside or join your fellow OLLI members marching with the SOU contingent in the 4th of July Parade walk! We will be marching with our OLLI banner and placards advertising our upcoming OLLI Open House and course subject areas. Wear Raider red, SOU attire, and/or your OLLI at SOU shirt from previous years to show your spirit!
We are looking for more members to represent OLLI at SOU! To join OLLI's parade contingent, contact OLLI volunteer MaryBeth Limpert at mblimpert@sbcglobal.net.

Wednesday, July 3: OLLI members are invited to SOU's parking lot 32 to decorate the SOU truck and trailer from 10:00 a.m.–noon. Come join our decorating party!

Thursday, July 4: OLLI at SOU members who want to march in the parade should meet at SOU's parking lot 36 by 9:30 a.m. Parking is FREE in lot 36 on July 4th.
- An SOU truck and trailer filled with straw bales will be available for members to sit on. These seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The theme this year is Go 4th for Kids. "We're all kids at heart." OLLI members are encouraged to bring their grandkids or other children in their lives to join in the parade. We even have a few free "Future Raider" t-shirts to distribute!
- The temperature will be warm on Thursday, so please plan accordingly. Wear head/face protection, sunscreen, and plan for temperatures reaching 90 degrees. It will be a warm walk.
- At the end of parade on Water Street, members will need to arrange their own transportation back to lot 36. There will be limited space available to ride back. Plan to walk the parade route back or get a ride from a buddy.
