WEEKLY UPDATE

Apr. 26, 2024

a Your Chamber is forming the Gen Z Committee, a new networking opportunity for members typically 30 or younger.

a Events Director Makenna Markley, herself a Gen Z-er, is gathering people for the inaugural event on Wednesday, May 29, at 5:30 p.m. at Chamber member Stacks Book Club, located on the west side of Oro Valley Marketplace.

a The gathering is free. Treats are available for sale.

a “This is a networking group designed for Gen Z, which officially is anyone aged 12-29, but we’re just saying under 30!” Makenna said.

a “I think after the COVID-19 pandemic, our generation has been thrust into the workforce without some of the socialization familiarity that previous generations have had,” she continued. “This is a space for us to get together, talk about life, and support one another. I’m really excited to make new connections and friends through this group!”

Carbon Health, not just an Urgent Care

a As Oro Valley’s oldest and largest operating urgent care, Carbon Health recognizes that serving our community doesn’t just look like testing for flu or by helping out the working parent with their discounted sports physicals. Business owners and operators are just as vital to their community focused mindset. That’s why they have a robust Occupational Health service line.

a By marrying their tech focused philosophy with their workplace health expertise, they provide a second to none service with lower rates than their competitors. Their board certified team provides a swath of services including DOT physicals, immunizations, and drug tests.

a Their app makes it easy for you to look up your employees' results, which means no more running after employees for that negative TB test. With 10 locations across Pima county and two in Oro Valley, flexible scheduling won't be an issue with them. Using someone else? No worries! Their contract doesn't restrict you to using only them, they just know you won't want to go back to anyone else.
