Dear Bath Community Fund Friends and Supporters,

I hope you have had an opportunity to review the list of 17 grants made in December to nonprofits serving the Bath community. This year, for the third year in a row, your Bath Community Fund was able to distribute $50,000 in grants, bringing the fund's grantmaking total to more than $250,000 in just seven years. Your gifts and support make this possible!

On Friday, Dec. 1, Bath Community Fund awarded 17 grants totaling $50,000 to local nonprofit organizations, bringing the fund's cumulative grantmaking total to more than $250,000 since it was established.

Among this year's recipients is the Summit County Astronomy Club, which received a grant to complete capital renovations at the observatory in the Bath Nature Preserve ahead of the anticipated surge of visitors for the 2024 total eclipse.

As the holidays approach, a gift to Bath Community Fund is the perfect way to honor a friend, family member or colleague while making a lasting difference in the community. Each person you honor will receive a card informing them of your gift.

If you missed our Planned Giving Workshop in October, you can still benefit from the information that Summit County Probate Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer and Chief Magistrate Steve Elliott shared. Bath Community Fund has proudly supported Stewart's Caring Place for many years. In 2023, the fund awarded Stewart's Caring Place a $4,000 grant to help the organization provide support services to Bath residents impacted by cancer. Since 2018, the organization has been awarded a total of $18,500.
