Welcome to the Women's Endowment Fund's 2024-2025 year! As always, we remain committed to our mission of uplifting women and girls by funding programs that significantly impact their well-being, now and forever. Our vision is to be a leading advocate for women and girls, and to collaborate with others to promote philanthropy to serve their needs. By cultivating and sustaining donor relations, we continuously grow the fund to serve the needs of women and girls in our community.

Women's Endowment Fund Awards a

Record-Breaking $203,000 in Grants

This spring, the Women's Endowment Fund announced $203,000 in grants – the largest amount awarded in a single year in the fund's history – to 34 nonprofit organizations serving women and girls. This latest round of grants brings the fund's cumulative grantmaking total to nearly $2.3 million.

Several of the nonprofits receiving grants in 2024 were featured in a video about projects the Women's Endowment Fund has supported, including The Maker House, an initiative of the North Hill Community Development Corporation. This year, the Women's Endowment Fund awarded a $5,000 grant to the North Hill CDC to support programming in The Maker House, a women's empowerment space that addresses income and educational disparities for immigrants and refugees by fostering women-owned small businesses.

SHEro Campaign Update

This year’s SHEro Campaign has officially concluded! We are excited to report that nearly 300 donors collectively gave more than $25,000 as of May 13, 2024.

Every donor and ambassador to this year's campaign helped the Women’s Endowment Fund share our mission with the Greater Akron community. Proceeds from the campaign support our grantmaking initiatives and will benefit the lives of women and girls in Summit County for years to come.
