Indianapolis, IN (December 22, 2022) - The Board of Directors of the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (IASWCD) is pleased to announce the hiring of Liz Rice as the organization's Executive Director.

"We are excited to bring Liz on as the next leader of the association. Her past experience in Indiana's conservation sector and her current nonprofit management skills will bring a new perspective and be a real benefit to IASWCD and our districts," states Jeff Baker, Vice President, IASWCD board.

Rice is no stranger to Indiana's soil and water conservation goals. She previously worked as the Assistant Director of IASWCD from 2011-2014. Rice states, "I'm thrilled to serve Indiana's 92 SWCDs once again. The opportunities to advance conservation in the Hoosier state are vast. Together, we can make a positive and lasting impact on our soil and water resources for generations to come. I look forward to supporting each District in achieving our shared mission of enabling the conservation of Indiana's natural resources."

Liz Rice completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Affairs with a major in Nonprofit Management. Currently, she is finishing her Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Management with a concentration in Natural Resources Management.
