Dear Sullivan Families,
It was wonderful to see so many families at Parent Night on Wednesday. We hope you enjoyed learning about our curriculum, spending time in your child's classroom, and our other instructional spaces. If you were unable to join us, the link to the video presentations and staff slides is below this letter. Be sure to take a few minutes to view those presentations for important information about our curriculum and our school! Please note, the links in the PDF to slide decks and videos are functional, but the hyperlinks between slides are not, so you can scroll through the presentation to view each teacher's informational page.
This edition of the Panther Post contains some great snapshots from the first two weeks of school, including our Expectations Assembly, Band and Orchestra Tryouts, and iPad Boot Camp. New this year are our Staff Spotlights, which will highlight a staff member or two each week. There is also information about signing up for Chorus and applying to become a Sullivan Ambassador.
Students will be completing their first round of iReady diagnostic testing next week. This testing, aligned to our curriculum, helps us understand each student's strengths and needs in reading and math, and provides them access to their differentiated iReady Path. Teachers use this information to plan small group instruction for students as well.
Lastly, we are still hiring for supervisory positions at Sullivan. If you are interested in becoming a lunch and recess supervisor from 10:45 - 12:00 or supervising during our early drop-off time from 7:45 - 8:05, please apply on our district website or email me to learn more!
Have a great weekend and GO BEARS!
Sincerely,
Traci Meziere
Principal
