Today, Los Angeles-based alt-rocker Annabel Lee announces her official SXSW showcase on Friday, March 17 at 11:15pm CT at Half Step in Austin, TX. The showcase also features fellow rising artists Indigo De Souza, Zella Day and Victoria Canal and is sponsored by Ari's Take and Labelcoin.

Lee's electrifying debut album Mother's Hammer is due out March 8, and is available for pre-order now. A limited run on vinyl will be available exclusively at the official album release show on March 25 at LA's Moroccan Lounge with tickets on sale now here.

Most recently, Lee shared the powerful final single of the project, "Los Angeles" out everywhere now. The most delicate and heart-wrenching song by Lee to date, “Los Angeles” is the comfort to which every hopeless creative can empathetically cry along. With a pulsating soundscape like an unstable heartbeat, the track lifts and falls as a trepid exhale.

Over 11 compelling tracks on the forthcoming Mother's Hammer, Annabel paints a realistic portrait of the human experience that never hesitates to confront even the most grim aspects of her life. Conversely, Annabel matches these darker emotions with joyous moments, shining a bright light on womanhood with gritty, fiery energy as she finds her own strength and begins to fully trust herself. The music meets her where she is, putting both her artistry and humanity on full display like never before.

On her captivating stage presence, GrimyGoods wrote, "There is not a single moment in an Annabel Lee performance you are bound to forget." Last year, Music Connection placed Annabel Lee on their list, Hot 100 Live Artists & Bands of 2022. Plus, Lee has caught the attention of several leading tastemakers like Billboard, LADYGUNN Magazine, EARMILK and GrimyGoods. After an appearance on Songland, Billboard lauded, “Ester Dean loves everything about Annabel Lee, and Leona Lewis declares, ‘It’s exciting to watch you.’" Plus, EARMILK called her music "high octane." LADYGUNN Magazine says, "Sultry punk immortalizes in Annabel Lee." Miles the DJ at beloved Los Angeles radio station KROQ said Lee's single "Up" is, "One of my favorite songs right now worthy of your time."

Spotify, Apple Music and VEVO have shown her support, including her earlier singles onto official editorial playlists like All New Rock, Created By Women, New in Alternative, and New Music Friday. Plus, Los Angeles radio stations KROQ and 88.5 the SoCal Sound have been spinning her songs “Up” and “Patti Smith” in recent weeks. Annabel Lee has made appearances at previous SXSW festivals and at Boston Folk Festival, in addition to her music being featured on HBO's Mrs. Fletcher trailer, FOX's Lucifer and ABC's The Rookie. Annabel Lee Bio

Annabel Lee is a Los Angeles rock and roll artist known for her unhinged stage persona and “high octane” (Earmilk) vocals. With LA Music Scene writing “no band is more ready to blow up than Annabel Lee.” Her songwriting is raw and unfiltered with themes surrounding womanhood, empowerment, self-reliance and hidden strength. Getting her start performing at hardcore shows around New England, Annabel brings that kind of unbridled energy to her shows, where everyone is on the cusp of losing their shit. She is a force in the underground Los Angeles alt rock scene packing every venue she plays (The Echo, School Night, Satellite, Hotel Cafe). She is the creator and curator of the Sweat Gala, an annual multi-media, fine art rock showcase and art auction in Los Angeles. She is an official SXSW 2023 showcasing artist. Amanda Palmer previously brought Annabel on tour after she heard her perform as a student at Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston. Annabel has had songs featured on shows such as Mrs. Fletcher (HBO), Lucifer (Netflix), The Rookie (ABC), and in a national ad campaign for Casper Mattress. She was booted off of Songland by Leona Lewis, where Ester Dean said “you’re an artist, don’t give away your song…I love everything about you.” Her debut album Mother’s Hammer will be released March 8th, 2023, with a release show at the Moroccan Lounge on March 25th.
