Andrea Hoover-Erbig Named VWU Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics
Andrea Hoover-Erbig has been named Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Virginia Wesleyan University, according to Dr. Scott D. Miller, VWU President. Hoover-Erbig currently serves as Head Women's Volleyball Coach, Senior Woman Administrator, and Academic Integration Coordinator at the University.

Virginia Wesleyan University Athletic Department Releases 2021 Outdoor Sports Spectator Policy
The Virginia Wesleyan University Athletic Department has composed its Outdoor Sports Spectator Policy for the 2021 season. Out of an abundance of caution and for the continued health and safety of our students, faculty and staff, Virginia Wesleyan University will extend the current policy of not allowing any fan and spectator attendance for all on-campus intercollegiate athletic related activity to include practices, competitions and meetings/events until further notice.

White's Buzzer Beater Three Pushes Marlins Past Ferrum's Panthers 84-83
The Virginia Wesleyan University men's basketball team defeated the Panthers of Ferrum College 84-83 courtesy of a buzzer beater three pointer by Jordan White on Sunday afternoon in ODAC competition in Ferrum, VA. VWU moves to 3-3 on the season and 3-0 in ODAC competition while Ferrum moves to 6-5 and 5-4.

Marlins Defeat Wildcats on Senior Day
The Virginia Wesleyan University women's basketball team defeated the WildCats of Randolph College 59-43 on Saturday afternoon on Senior Day in TowneBank Arena in Virginia Beach, VA. The Marlins move to 3-6 on the season and 2-4 against ODAC foes while Randolph falls to 1-5 and 1-5.

VWU Softball Sweeps First ODAC Honors of the Season
Virginia Wesleyan's Hanna Hull and Jessica Goldyn were named the Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, as announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference office on Monday afternoon.

Softball Sweeps Doubleheader at William Peace
The No. 4 Virginia Wesleyan softball team opened the 2021 season on the road with a pair of wins against the Pacers of William Peace University in Raleigh, NC. The Marlins move to 2-0 on the season while the Pacers are now 0-4. 
Women's Swimming
Marlins Women's Swimming Defeats Sweet Briar on Senior Day
The Virginia Wesleyan University women's swim team defeated the Vixens of Sweet Briar on senior day in Virginia Beach, VA on Saturday morning. The Marlins won six of the 14 events and edged out the Vixens 117-108. 

Dewberry Named ODAC Women's Swimmer of the Week
Virginia Wesleyan University's Chloe Dewberry of the women's swim team was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's swimmer of the week following a win for the Marlins over the Vixens of Sweet Briar College this past weekend in Virginia Beach, VA.

Men's Swimming Downed by Hampden-Sydney on Senior Day
The Virginia Wesleyan University men's swim team fell to the Tigers of Hampden-Sydney on senior day in Virginia Beach, VA, on Saturday afternoon. Tyler Strong was the lone Marlin to win a race en route to a 183-53 win for the Tigers.

Women's Soccer Falls in Season Opener Against Bridgewater
The Virginia Wesleyan University women's soccer team fell in their season opener 1-0 to the Eagles of Bridgewater College on Sunday afternoon at Birdsong Field in Virginia Beach, VA. The Marlins move to 0-1-0 while the Eagles are 1-0-0.

Men's Soccer Falls in Season Opener at Southern Virginia
The Virginia Wesleyan University men's soccer team fell in their season opener 3-2 to the Knights of Southern Virginia University on Saturday afternoon in Buena Vista, VA. The Marlins move to 0-1-0 while the Knights are 1-2-0.
