Croquet and Chardonnay

Thank you to everyone who supported our Croquet and Chardonnay Fundraiser last weekend. A big thank you to Stephanie Denkowicz and Aydin Caginalp who hosted the event at their beautiful home “Nestledown”.

We would also like to thank all our volunteers and donors who worked very hard to make the event successful.

Also thank you to the Haddam Garden Club and Brainerd Memorial Library for use of chairs and tables.

After considerable competition, including water action on Heartbreak Hill, the sudden death play off was won by Lynn Cooper (husband, Russ Pekrul was a previous golden mallet winner). She received the 2022 Golden Mallet. The overall hat contest was won by Clara Caginalp for her stunning floral bouquet hat design.

Annual Donation 2022

We recently sent out our annual appeal letter and hope you will consider making a donation to the Haddam Historical Society. Those with post office boxes in Higganum should receive their request sometime in the coming week (Printer mistake).

We rely on these funds to continue our mission to preserve, collect, interpret and promote local history. Your donation is an investment in your community- both its past and its future.

Please note that Debra and James Simpson were inadvertently left off the 2021 donor list and we apologize for the oversight.

E: Key circa 1900

F: Crushed "fancy" spoon
