Creator Economy Law

About the Program

What is the $240 billion creator economy? Why did the White House recently host the first ever Creator Economy Conference? Where does law and policy fit within the creator economy? This CLE session will provide attorneys with a foundational understanding of the rapidly evolving legal landscape surrounding the creator economy. Participants will gain insights into the unique challenges and opportunities faced by creators, platforms, and brands in this digital age. Topics covered will include intellectual property rights, contracts and brand deals, platform regulation, data privacy, and emerging legal trends. Whether you are an experienced attorney seeking to expand your practice or a newcomer interested in this dynamic field, this session will equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the complexities of creator economy law.

This program is presented by the Entertainment Law section, chaired by Jeff Monahan and vice-chaired by Matthew Hobbs. The section is sponsored by Lawyers' Mutual Insurance Company. Find out more at www.bhba.org.
