A Message from the Executive Director
Dear Friends,

CPC recently conducted a comprehensive assessment of our organization, mission, and impact. Board members and staff members spent three days with a facilitator to create strategic goals for the next 1, 3, 5, and 10 years. We have big plans! Last year we served 742 abortion-vulnerable women. By 2033, we hope to be serving 4,500 each year! To get there, we have a lot of growing to do, but we know that God will continue to bless our efforts to save women and children from the tragedy of abortion.

In order to increase the number of abortion-vulnerable women we reach, we plan on implementing several changes. The most immediate change will be improving our material assistance and education program. Our current system is inefficient. Our staff has to spend many hours collecting, sorting, and distributing donations, and our clients have to find transportation to pick up their items. Beginning May 1, our clients will be given the opportunity to receive a “baby-shower-in-a-box” as a reward for taking 10 online parenting classes. Once they “graduate”, they will work with our advocates using an online registry, to choose the brand-new baby supplies that will then be delivered to their homes. This change will maximize the time our staff has to dedicate to our clients and our clients won't have to spend money picking up baby supplies.

This streamlining of our program also means we will be closing our Mars HiIl Baptist and St. Ann’s locations, which are being used exclusively for storing and distributing material goods. Although we will no longer be accepting material donations for our clients, that does NOT mean we won't be providing for their material needs. In fact, when we remove the transportation barrier, we expect more of our abortion-vulnerable clients to participate in the program. We know as donors how enjoyable it can be to buy baby clothes for those in need, but we believe these changes will allow us to better focus our resources on saving lives. (Note: all baby items currently in our care will be offered first to clients and then to other organizations in the area that provide material assistance to women and children.)

Reaching more abortion-vulnerable women also requires us to grow our staff, which we are working on now. As soon as we are able, we will also begin piloting expanded business hours, and telehealth services so that, as much as possible, we can provide our life-saving resources to women on their timetables and in a manner most accessible to them. Providing ultrasounds, abortion pill reversal, and advocacy for abortion-vulnerable women in Baltimore City is a service that only we provide. We are so grateful for the support of our donors and friends who make our work possible. Please keep praying for us, our mission, and our clients. We pray for each of you daily.

Sincerely,

Gina Ruppert

Our Mission

The Greater Baltimore Center for Pregnancy Concerns is a locally organized and funded volunteer ministry demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ by providing abortion alternatives to women who find themselves in the midst of an unplanned pregnancy. We service clients by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. We also strive to provide accurate and complete information on prenatal development and abortion. We believe access to this information is needed in order to provide our clients with the facts, allowing them to make informed decisions. Ultimately, we desire to protect the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of our clients and their unborn children. We also provide emotional support and resources to any woman who comes to us having had an abortion. We believe our ministry to these and all women is to share the love of Jesus Christ.
