Hello Girl Scout Volunteers & Families,
I am excited to share an update about our council’s future leadership. On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, we are delighted to welcome Rochelle Parker to the Girl Scout family as our next CEO. She will officially begin her new role on June 10.
For the past 10 years, Rochelle has served as the President & CEO of Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA) with the responsibility for overseeing and executing operations, financial stability, fundraising, marketing, human resources and technology strategies across all segments of the organization. During her tenure, CAPA has achieved significant results including increased revenue by over 345% and expanding staffing and service capacity by 140%.
Rochelle’s past roles with some of the top nonprofits in our region include Vice President of Development with KVC Health Systems and Vice President of Development and Communication with The Family Conservancy. She has her Masters of Business Administration from Rockhurst University and is a Doctoral Candidate with Liberty University.
Rochelle is energized to grow Girl Scouting across the region, support our 8,000+ dedicated volunteers, and build partnerships that will bring more opportunities to girls.
I look forward to you hearing more from and meeting Rochelle in the coming months. Watch for some upcoming opportunities for you to join later this summer and into the fall. I encourage you to get to know more about and connect via LinkedIn with Rochelle now.
I am so appreciative to Marcela for her leadership and dedication serving as GSKSMO’s Interim CEO for the past seven months. We are grateful Marcela will remain a part of our executive leadership team, and I can’t wait to see what this team will do together! The future is bright at GSKSMO!!
Thank you for your patience as we navigated this important process of hiring the next CEO for GSKSMO.
Sincerely,
Emily Blue
Chair, Board of Directors
