Are you ready to start the New Year with some magic creative play?
Usher in the New Year with creativity and time for yourself!
Let the Spirit of Marigold uplift you!
Bring a friend, Mother or daughter and carve out time for play.
This makes a fabulous gift for yourself or your loved ones! ❤️
We will create sacred space with a ceremonial fire, as Martha Pinto leads us in ritual to release the old and bring in the New Year.
Experience the magic of dyeing silk scarves with marigolds from our
Day of the Dead altars! Shiila Safer brought back marigolds from Teotihuacan, Mexico that hold the energy and prayers for our Ancestors and that sacred place.
Learn with Shiila to use marigolds to create a beautiful yellow/gold silk scarf and silk bandana (see pics below!). Silk will be pre-mordanted. We will simmer the flowers and the silk to make your gorgeous uplifting scarf and bandana. Learn about natural dyeing at its most basic – experience the alchemy of flowers, water and fire.
You will leave with 1 Habotai silk scarf and 1 silk bandana to take home for yourself, or for a gift. We will play with Shibori folding and tying if you choose.
Class size limited to 12, so save your place now!
