No chairs, and no desks!  Our visual arts program has been used by schools as a solution to engage and inspire especially  busy learners... with huge success!

Our experiences have shown that our program gives primary and junior students an outlet, a sense of ownership, and a fresh perspective on their school year. 

Junior students use pouring mediums and paints to  create a "Holton Rower" tower,

then make their own personal sizes. We

Primary students use painting techniques to create items for an amazing mural! In this example, students monoprinted the trees, drip painted the flowers and used rollers and brushes for the background in only 3 periods! Combine this with a social studies or science theme for cross-curriculum gold!

At the end of each program, students host an art gallery where  they get to showcase all their hard  work! Not only does this create an amazing sense of student ownership, but we leave teachers with tools to capture their students' communication and accountable talk, and even reflection tools for after we leave.
