The 10th annual AmCham Breakfast with Santa will be held this year on December 10, from 9:00am to 12:30pm at the InterContinental Saigon. The event is designed for families to celebrate Christmas together, and bring some Christmas joy into other’s lives.
Sponsorship and a portion of every adult ticket sold will help fund the cost for over 30 Covid-19 orphans from the Care to Rise Program.

AmCham Vietnam HCMC & Da Nang would send the proposal to Infrastructure and Medical Device Administration, Department of Legal, Ministry of Health for the content of the Circular on promulgating the list and instructing information on price declaration of Medical Device, and the draft of decree on guiding bidding law. We thank you for the extensive consultation of business associations on the legal documents being developed related to the Circular on price declaration of medical devices, and the Decree on guiding the Bidding Law. We appreciate the opportunity to present some proposals for these documents, with the aim of ensuring the best options for patients and increasing the opportunity to apply advanced medical technology in treatment at healthcare facilities, while harmonizing with enterprises' business activities. | |

Recent Activities and Events | |

2024-2025 National AmCham Vietnam Board of Governors. AmCham was distributed ballots to our voting members for its first-ever democratic election of the National Board of Governors. Under AmCham Vietnam’s new structure, our three geographic chapters, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Danang, will continue to manage AmCham’s daily activities. However, our chapters will now follow consistent policies administered nationally by the democratically elected National Board, which has been fully empowered by our membership to ensure:

Full and equal access to sectoral committees for all members nationwide
-
Consistency in Advocacy policy for all members, through a national Advocacy Officer
- Centralization of operational, administrative, and financial functions at the national level
- Naming of a national CEO responsible for supervising staff nationwide
- Approval of national and chapter annual budgets by the National Board
- Distribution of audited financial statements to all members
- Adoption of term limits, and ethics and conflict of interest declarations, for board members
- Creation of a national protocol to assure consistent AmCham branding
The centralization of administrative functions under a National Board will allow local chapters to focus even more of their resources on providing professional networking opportunities, market intelligence, Advocacy services, and business promotion, with an emphasis on maximizing access and value for all our members.

AmCham Vietnam HCMC & Danang ED Brad LaLonde participated in the inauguration ceremony of Phu My Dry Port at Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park in Phu My Town, Ba Ria–Vung Tau Province last Saturday. This is the first dry port in the Southeastern province with a total area of over 37.8 hectares. The port will provide a multi-modal, integrated logistics service ecosystem with various transport services together with loading and unloading services, goods packaging, checking and customs procedures for import-export goods; container repairing, cleaning and maintenance, warehousing services and other logistics services.
