Update from the Chair

Dear AmCham,


This week, I would like to bring your attention to two upcoming events that will help AmCham enhance its impact, and enable closer collaboration for members at a national level:


  • A Cocktail Reception with Consul General Susan Burns and our 2024 Board of Governors, taking place on Friday, February 23rd. This event will also feature AmCham Hanoi Chairperson Joe Uddo and members of the 2024 Hanoi Board of Governors.

 

  • The AmCham National Retreat, hosted by AmCham Hanoi, scheduled for March 15-17 at Mia Resort Quy Nhon. Open to all members of AmCham in Vietnam, this event be attended by Ambassador Knapper and Consul General Burns, and will focus on networking, policy discussions, and weekend fun.

Vietnam Child Protection & Safeguarding Summit 2024

The Vietnam Child Protection & Safeguarding Summit brings together a wide range of attendees to advance child wellbeing in Vietnam and is centered on:


  • Promoting best practices for child protection and wellbeing
  • Increasing collaboration among educational institutions, service providers, NGOs, industry, government agencies, and consulates



The Summit will offer sessions on a range of topics related to professional skill development, information on current trends, and panel discussions with experts.

 

Participants will also have an opportunity to network and generate ideas on how to collaborate more frequently on child protection matters.

 

The keynotes will be simultaneously translated from English to Vietnamese, and there are breakout sessions in both English and Vietnamese.

This event will feature keynote remarks from Chairman Phan Van Mai and Consul General Susan Burns, as well as a forum for HCMC Leadership and AmCham representatives to address the city’s health and wellness system development plan. 

 

The 2024 edition of AmCham HCMC Healthcare Committee's White Book, highlighting advocacy issues, will be presented during this event.
