Our guest speaker this month is going to be Phil Ortiz with Flounder Pounder Lure Co.
Phil has over 25 years experience being a commercial fisherman. He uses this experience for the basis of his approach and strategies for finding and catching fish in the bay systems. He has also developed a unique line of artificial lures and terminal tackle he uses and sales to anglers for their pursuit of trophy catches.
As you might have guessed, Phil will be discussing the tactics and tackle he uses to catch Flounder and other species of sportfish.
He encourages anyone who would like to, to bring a rod and reel to practice the flip and pitch technique he will be teaching. Also, If you would like to learn how to properly throw a cast net you can bring one of those as well.
Bring your questions and be ready to have a good time.
His presentation has received rave reviews from other CCA Chapters! I look forward to hearing what he has to share with us...
