Support the Spes Unica Annual Fund!

For 50 years, the halls of Bishop McNamara High School have been open to students who want to pursue academic excellence, grow in their spiritual formation, and participate in dynamic arts and athletic programs. During these 50 years, these students have always been blessed with caring, talented, and vibrant Faculty and Staff members, whether they were the original ten Holy Cross Brothers who founded the School, other religious men and women who dedicated their life to being of service to the students, or the over 1,000 non-clergy Faculty and Staff who have been teachers, mentors, and friends to our students.

To ensure Bishop McNamara continues to be a bastion of Catholic education, we are asking all of our community members to join with the School in celebrating our 50-year history by making a financial donation to the Spes Unica Fund, the Annual Fund for Bishop McNamara High School.

To make a gift online, please visit our website and fill out our   Online Giving form . Thank you!

"Give Where You Live" June 4, 2015

On June 4, 2015, Bishop McNamara High School will be taking part in the United Way campaign of #DoMore24. This 24-hour campaign allows us to collect donations in smaller, incremental amounts to assist our students. We ask that you, as alumni, parents and community members, donate what you can to help our students.

Your donations can be $24, $48, or $96:

A donation of $24 will allow our student-athletes to compete with top of the line equipment and ensure their safety.

For $48, we can afford a Manhasset Model #48 Sheet Music Stand for our aspiring musicians OR contribute significantly to student's KAIROS retreat.

For $96, we can sustain and propel after-school activities offered only at Bishop McNamara High School such as ACE Mentoring, Robotics Club, Equestrian Club, Aviation Club, and Jr. Scientists of the Sea Club OR pay for one student's technology fee for the year.

Alumni Involvement
Alumni-Student Mentor Program - We Need YOU!

BMHS is initiating a new program to create mentor connections between students and alumni. This program will promote the overall success of the student and give the alumni the opportunity to inspire, encourage and engage with our bright young leaders. The idea is for students to develop skills that will enable them to achieve, succeed, and recognize their own potential while our awesome volunteer alumni exhibit their commitment to affecting positive change in the educational futures of young people.

This is why we need YOU! You can inspire and encourage a young person to aim high and build their confidence to follow their dreams. In the process, you will learn a lot about yourself and realize that this Alumni-Student Mentor Program is truly a win-win opportunity.

You do not need any specific skills or experience. You simply need to be willing and enthusiastic about wanting to encourage, guide and inspire our BMHS students. No matter how far you climb, you should always look back to see who you can pull up along the way.

Please sign up to become an Alumni Mentor by sending an email to michael.jones@bmhs.org or calling 301.735.8401 ext. 111.
