DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
I hope this newsletter finds each of you and your families healthy. No one could have imagined the times in which we are still living. We are slowly moving forward and charting new territories; learning new things and adapting like never before.
This newletter is full of mazel tovs, condolences, updates, catch ups, interesting articies, program announcements and reminders. If we missed something, I apologize. Let us know what we missed. Send us your life cycle events - we love pictures. Everyone (including parents who get the newsletter as well) enjoy learning about the life cycle events and other information about those with whom they went on the March.
The March of the Living, both locally here in Broward County and the International March of the Living are providing a variety of interesting and informative virtual programs open to alumni, their parents and the entire community at large. Information on upcoming programs are below.
As you will note, we have started a new section - "Catching Up". We all love to see where our fellow Marchers have been (and where they are going). We want to include you, so send your update to me (rbaltuch@jewishbroward.org) for our next newsletter.
We also want to send you a birthday card - so be sure to send us an updated mailing address and if you know of alumni who are not receiving our newsletters, tell them first to check their promotions tab or spam, as unfortunately that's where our emails often land and if that's not the case, have them send me a good email address.
Watch for some Zoom reunions - the first will be 1992....coming up in the next couple of weeks. If you want to "host" one, let me know. We're happy to set it up. Please, please stay in touch.
On behalf of Amy Wildstein, Broward County Assistant Director of the March of the Living and me, we wish you and your families a Shana Tova, a happy, healthy and sweet New Year. G'mar hatimah tova - May you be inscribed for all good things
Rochelle

“When you listen to a witness, you become a witness” Survivor Speaker Series,
featuring Mala Tribich, MBE, from the United Kingdom.
Mala’s story is one of incredible strength, sadness and resilience. Born in 1930 in Piotrkow, Poland, Mala survived horrific conditions in the ghetto and was hidden by Christian Righteous among the Nations in Czestochowa. She was later deported to Ravensbruck Concentration Camp and ultimately was liberated by the British Army from Bergen Belsen in 1945 at the age of just 14. To her complete shock, her brother Ben had survived the war, and they reunited in England several years later.
Mala was honored by the Queen with an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) and currently lives in London.
