JAKE DEHNE '95

Buddy's, anyone?

Alumus, current BA parent, and current BA alumni parent Jacob Dehne '95 makes headlines as he expands his business throughout Milwaukee and most recently into Brookfield. Think back to your days at Buddy's just down the road - any Brookfield Academy old-timer has some sort of memory at Buddy's! Most recently under Jake's ownership, Buddy's, renamed The Elbow Room, has become a popular hotspot in Brookfield.

Jake and his brother, Seth, will have come full circle once they open their next establishment, 90s2K Cafe in late summer. Several newspapers, most recently The Milwaukee Business Journal, have highlighted Jake's journey from aspiring veterinarian to owner of a collection of Milwaukee's hotspots. Cheers, Jake!

SUZANNE HEISS '77 KELLEY

President and CEO of the Waukesha County Business Alliance for 14 years, Suzanne Heiss '77 Kelley officially passed the baton to her successor in June. Congratulations on a successful career, Suzanne.

MICHAEL RAJCHEL '16

Congratulations to Michael Rajchel '16 for being named the WHSTCA Division 2 Boys Tennis Coach of the Year. Leading the boys' Varsity team to a three-peat state championship is no small feat, and this recognition is well-deserved. Congratulations, Michael!

Run, Ethan, Run! Ethan completed the February 2024 Austin Marathon, his first marathon, with a time of 3:26.
