Alumnae News l February 2024

Where are they now?

Ada Okoye '13

Ada '13 discovered her passion for leadership at Carondelet. “I think about all the people in my life who saw something in me and pushed me in the right direction, and it would be a waste of space if I didn’t do that for someone else,” said Ada. “Believe in her, invest in her, nurture her. It’s all about action. What am I going to do to help?”

Read more about her journey here.

Ali Bamberger '19

This alumna made history in her last year at St. Mary's College as one-half of the first father-daughter duo in NCAA history to score 1,000 points at the same school. Congratulations Ali! "I wouldn’t be where I am today without you," She said about her dad in a post on Instagram. "Proud to be your daughter."

“Being a member and now president of the alumnae board has been such an amazing opportunity for me to give back to our Carondelet community. I am forever grateful for the sisterhood and Catholic education that I received at Carondelet that helped shape me into the person I am today. I would encourage all alumnae to be involved in whatever capacity they can because this is a school that we can and should believe in.”

Love is in the Air

Check out these Winton Drive Valentines and Palentines

Love is in the air, and we wanted to feature some of our favorite love stories that started, here, at Carondelet!

Reunion Sweet Hearts

No one thinks that attending a high school reunion is going to change their life, but for Ashley (Chavez) Czyz ’08, that’s exactly what happened. Ashley and Michael might not have met during their time together at Carondelet and De La Salle, but their five-year reunion was the catalyst for their, now, life together. Read more.

A Company Couple

Kaylee '14 and Jerome started dating in 2012—he was a De La Salle senior and she was a Carondelet junior. Both were involved in Company and ended up spending time together after school. They were married ten years after they met, surrounded by a wedding party comprised of mostly Carondelet and De La Salle Alumni.

Galentines Day

Tomorrow might be Valentine's Day, but today is Galentines Day! On campus, students celebrated one another, platonic love, and the bonds of sisterhood with friendship bracelets and treats. Don't forget to celebrate the amazing women in your life today! Give a Cougar a call.

Carondelet History

It might have been the 49ers vs the Chiefs last weekend, but every Carondelet alumna knows that the biggest (flag) football game of the year happens during Homecoming week when seniors face off against the juniors.

Sunday marked Superbowl 58, but admittedly our tradition is a little younger. Some say PowerPuff started for us in the late 80's. There were a few years where this big game didn't happen but by the early 2000s it was back for good. What we do know for sure is that, since its inception, the senior class has remained undefeated!
