Melissa Dolliole

NIGHT MANAGER



Melissa Dolliole is a Certified Peer Support Specialist. Melissa herself is a recovering addict of 9 years. With her first-hand experience, she loves working with and helping others to attend a new way of living.

This month, Tim Clark and his company TECC Construction began repairs on the roofs of our long-term residential houses. Our beautiful, old New Orleans houses have had some wear and tear over the past few years due to hurricanes and other weather events. We are excited to have Clark and his team working with us to have our houses looking new! We thank them for their hard work and dedication!

A huge thank you to NOLA Greek and Greater New Orleans Chapter National Pan-Hellenic Council for holding a donation drive for Eden Centers for Hope and Healing. This group collected hygiene products including deodorant, razors, tampons, and more! Our residents are very grateful for these donations!

Phelps Dunbar

Thank you to the Phelps Dunbar for donating and delivering furniture to our new Emergency Center. Special thanks to Aladdin Lombard, Facilities Coordinator in New Orleans who handled logistics and Julie Thorn, Office Services Coordinator in Tupelo who handled coordination of the donation with Whittington Office Furniture. Lastly, thank you to Aladdin Lombard, Facilities Coordinator of New Orleans, Tracy Dickerson, Facilities Coordinator of New Orleans, Barren Bailey, Communications Applications Analyst, and Kenneth Holley, Records Coordinator for delivery of the furniture. Our staff is very excited about their new desks!

The Royal Engineers and Consultants, LLC

The Royal Engineers and Consultants, LLC came back to Eden House this Spring to help with more handy projects at our two long-term residential houses. The group helped with some rewiring to be able to install a new refrigerator and a new washer and dryer. Additionally, they installed a privacy screen for our backyard and cleaned out some of our cabinets. Lastly, the Royal Engineers funded and hired a contractor for the tearing down a broken fence and building a new fence in the backyard. With this new fence, our backyard is now a safe and private space for our residents to be in. We thank them for sharing their time and talents with us!

St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church Youth Group

The St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church (SCAPC) Youth Group joined us for a Saturday garden clean up. These young volunteers pulled weeds, raked, and cleaned our patio furniture. We appreciate this group for helping create a peaceful place for our residents to be as the weather warms up!

Del City Church of Christ

A group of young adults from Del City Church of Christ in Oklahoma City came to Eden House to volunteer. This group helped with multiple projects including power washing our patio, cleaning gutters, and cleaning our attic. We thank this group for their willingness to help in multiple areas as well as their interest in learning about Eden House and our program.

We are thrilled to have 7 interns with us this Spring semester. This group provides so much support to the staff and residents. Their support through driving, database updates, sorting donations, and more helps our facilities run smoothly. We thank them for all their hard work!
