After numerous discussions with the Diocese, members of the congregation and internal review by the Vestry, we have determined that the Priest-in-Charge Approach is best for All Saints’ Church. There are a number of reasons this approach is a good option:
All Saints’ Church is ready to move forward for many reasons including financial concerns,
time spent to date and perceptions of stagnation.
This approach will allow us to save many months on the selection of a new leader.
Many churches in our region have successfully used this approach in the past few years.
A commitment to a Priest in Charge is typically no more than three years which allows both parties to determine if the more permanent Rector selection is best for both parties.
The procedure to select a Priest in Charge will use the following process as recommended by
the Diocese:
Names of potential candidates will be received by the Diocese and preliminarily vetted.
The Vestry will consider the candidates, hold interviews, etc. (Discernment Phase).
If a qualified candidate is found, the Vestry will begin negotiations with the recommended candidate in conjunction with the Diocese. If a candidate is selected the process is complete, if not, the course of action reverts to the Conventional approach and the Vestry then forms a Search Committee to move the process forward.
The Priest-in-Charge approach typically takes 4-6 months after the Vestry receives and begins evaluating candidates but we hope to evaluate candidates in the next two weeks.
Whichever path is chosen by the Vestry, the Vestry retains the authority to revert to the conventional approach at a later date until such time as a permanent Rector is in place.
The Vestry is charged with making this decision for the Parish. All input from the Congregation is encouraged. Prayers are welcome. Whichever approach is chosen by the Vestry, the process requires faith that the Holy Spirit is at work and that the candidate God has been preparing for
All Saints’ will be available at the right time – and that we will recognize them when we meet them!

AUDIO VISUAL VOLUNTEERS - COME BE PART OF THE TEAM!
HELLO! As you all know we are off and running with the live stream. It is a work in progress, but nonetheless, we are doing it. A while ago we made a call out for anyone that would be interested in learning how to do this so we will have backups and people will have the opportunity to run the sound or the video. Next month we would like to begin training. SO can you please respond to this email if you are interested in learning how to help on Sunday Mornings with your name and phone number. I will put together a few training sessions. I ENCOURAGE the amazing kids in our family to also volunteer- so it is an open call to adults and kids alike! THANKS!
