Dear 2015 Cowtown Registered Runners,
Thank you for your patience and flexibility with the various weather-induced emergency cancellations during Cowtown Marathon weekend. The cancellations, made in consultation with the National Weather Service, the City of Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Police Department and others, were difficult decisions for all concerned, but the safety of our more than 28,000 runners and 4,500 volunteers was, and always will be, our top priority.
Per our longstanding policy, refunds, transfers, or deferments are not available. Virtually all of the costs associated with our non-profit event are paid for upfront by The Cowtown BEFORE race weekend.
However, in the spirit of our 37-year-old race, we are pleased to offer the following
alternative "finish line" to our runners:

The Cowtown will be contacting School teams entered in the Cook Children's 5K to assist schools in determining how they
would like to proceed to ensure their children earn their medals.
Due to the extraordinarily high number of emails and phone calls being received, we will be delayed in responding to your inquiries. Please be patient. The Cowtown Marathon hopes this information will answer the majority of questions received and we trust you will understand as we work hard to provide solutions to our races.
Your support of The Cowtown Marathon benefits the CALF program (Children's Activities for Life and Fitness.) In
preparation for the 2015 race, Cowtown was able to provide over 5,000 pairs of running shoes and 5,000 financial grants so that children in need could train for race day and begin a lifetime of fitness.
Thank you again for your support of The Cowtown.
