ALL BRENT SPENCE BRIDGE LANES AND ACCESS RAMPS ARE OPEN
Early this morning, maintenance crews reopened all northbound travel lanes on the lower deck of the Brent Spence Bridge and the remaining access ramp closure - 4th Street ramp to I-71/75 North in Covington. All southbound lanes and the three other access ramp closures reopened earlier this week. At this point in the project, the 24/7 multi-lane and ramp closures are complete.
Minor Tasks to Continue Through Mid-November; Periodic Nighttime-Only Lane Closures Are Expected The Brent Spence Bridge project is progressing on schedule. Remaining work includes completing routine repairs to the concrete columns of the bridge, performing minor steel repairs, upgrading the lighting system and finalizing other minor maintenance tasks. This work will continue through mid-November. During this time, periodic nighttime-only lane closures will be necessary with single lane closures expected to begin around 9 p.m. and double lane closures are possible at midnight. All lanes of travel will be restored for travel by 5 a.m. Specific closure dates will be shared as they become available.
No lane closures are anticipated next week through Labor Day. However, work crews will periodically be on site performing tasks outside of travel lanes. Please be aware of their presence and continue to use caution as you travel in the area.
Project updates and upcoming lane closure information will continue to be posted on the website, BrentSpence2017.org, and on the project's Facebook page and Twitter feed as it becomes available.
