Announcement - Open Tuesday 10 - 5 and closed for the rest of the week. I have to go to Arizona and take care of my sister and help my mom. Scheduled return is late Monday - early Tuesday morning - so the plan is to be open that day - also the day of the Carolina Pine Needle Quilters Guild Class/Meeting. If you need the ruler for class and haven't picked it up yet - Mary Hendrickson will bring it to the meeting if you call me to make payment. If you bring cash she has volunteered to bring any leftover rulers to the class. If you want to sign up for the June class - and need a ruler - let me know and I can order more rulers if needed - pre payment will be required. Reopening 14 May with hours that week 10 - 5 and Saturday 10 - 3.
The sale area is having additional items added everyday! Lots of single items. I have machines and parts available for sale, just ask.
I have beautiful fabric, linen, wide backing, jersey for making clothes, Blocks of the Months, sale fabric is $4 per yard, finish the bolt and it is $3.50, just ask.

Friday will be Quilts of Valor workday. We had several people come this week and help measure fabric that has been donated. We made backs for several quilts - so have about six quilts that are ready for quilting. We have blocks that are finished and need to be put together into tops. We have fabric - if you would like to make a top. Just reach out.
We have a great Block of the Month that has started and I have completed several of the blocks - and am sewing along with everyone. Would you like to join in? Kit is $130 and has all the fabric and pattern for the top of the quilt. This is a month by month block that can be done at your pace - great way to use different size blocks into a quilt top!
If you need help with a project - call the store and make an appointment for a one on one class. Have some friends that all want to learn the same thing - we can make that happen also. The Brown Bag Mystery first four clues have been shared with the players. If you would like to play too - it is not too late. We can cut a kit especially for you. We have lots of options to choose from. We also have options for the practice project - Tea and Cookies if you want to join the party for a Piece of Cake!
UFO Challenge - Unfinished Objects - This months number is 2 for the month of May. Any one can play - look for the text block to post your completed projects for this month! The winner for April was Jenny Sheargold - congratulations. Please post your projects before the end of the month.

Are you familiar with Quilts of Valor? If you are not - check it out at www.qovf.org. We present quilts to veterans that have been nominated to receive a quilt. We had a great sew day Saturday - people dropped of quilts - and two were presented! Thanks again for all your help making the veterans smile!
Hand Sewing Group. We will meet on the first and third Thursday nights from 5 until 9 - next get together is May 16, 2024. This is not part of the store - just a group to get together to sew and fellowship. You can come for part or all of the time. No sewing machines - as that limits the amount of space available. You can cut or you can hand sew or crochet or knit - whatever you would like - or just come and visit a while. Everyone and anyone is invited to sew and fellowship.
