As guests entered, they were greeted by student leaders from L. B. Landry High School, setting the tone for the evening's focus on youth excellence. Martin Behrman Charter and L. B. Landry High School students took the stage, delivering powerful speeches that underscored the impact of education on their lives. Their personal stories, filled with gratitude, resilience, and achievements, left a lasting impression on the audience. Gabrielle Chartian, an 8th-grade student at Martin Behrman, eloquently expressed her gratitude for the opportunities provided by Algiers Charter. At the same time, Jaden Eubanks, a sophomore student at L. B. Landry, shared a stirring excerpt from "Black Man Rising" and highlighted his involvement in various extracurricular activities. Destinee Manuel, a member of L. B. Landry's Class of 2024, captivated the audience with her achievements as she shared her journey from cheerleading to academic success, including being awarded scholarships totaling over $1.14 million. |
