Excellence in Education, in partnership with TTUSD, will be hosting screenings of a documentary about the impact of social media on our lives.
Social media is a tool and social platforms are a place to connect, share, and care … but is that what's really happening?
LIKE
is a documentary that explores the impact of social media on our lives and the effects of technology on the brain. The goal of the film is to inspire discussion and to self-regulate.

Join your classmates at ACMS for a fun Friday night! We will be showing "The Princess Bride", which is not your ordinary princess fairy tale. It will have you laughing at crazy adventures and one-liners. And for those who would rather play games, the futsal and ping pong tables will be set up. Admission is free and we will be selling pizza, popcorn and other snacks. Bring your reusable water bottle! We will also be selling raffle tickets for $1 for chances to win the movie and other fun items.

Open House Silent Auction

Just a reminder that our biggest fundraiser, the silent auction at Open House, will be coming up in the spring. For this event, we will be asking each class to put together a collection of themed items for our silent auction. We will also be asking local businesses to contribute items or gift cards. Please

What's Happening at School?
|
At Alder Creek Middle School we encourage middle schoolers to be responsible and self motivated. With this in mind, there is a daily bulletin to inform students of club meetings, sports tryouts and school schedules. The daily bulletin, as well as past bulletins, the weekly Cougar News and the calendar of events, are available on the
ACMS school website
. Everything is in the lower right corner of the website. Stay in the know!

The Lost & Found is OVERFLOWING!
|
There are so many great items in our lost and found, located just inside the front entrance of the school. If you can find some time to come in and take a look, you may just find something you didn't even know your child was missing! Remind your student to go through the racks and table and see if we can send these things home where they belong.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Have fun catching leprechauns, wearing green and trying out some Irish food!
St. Patrick's Day is an annual feast day celebrating the patron saint Patrick. It is the national holiday of Ireland and is usually celebrated on March 17. One Irish tradition is to pinch anyone who is not wearing green on St. Patrick's Day. The leprechaun is an Irish fairy who looks like an old man around two feet tall who partakes in mischief. They are solitary creatures who spend their time making and mending shoes and have a hidden pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Important Box Tops Update! We are still collecting clipped Box Tops!
Here's the deal on Box Tops!
Traditional Box Tops clips are being phased out, but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store.
You can still clip and turn them in to the front office.
Clip carefully and make sure each one has a clearly visible product acronym and expiration date.
Eventually the Box Tops program will become digital-only. If you see the new label, download the
new Box Tops app
and scan your receipts. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to your school's earnings online.
Take a minute in the parking lot of the grocery store or when you get home to scan your receipt. Try it out - it works great!

Shop like you normally do, but when it’s time to checkout, reach for the Benefit mobile app. Purchase digital gift cards and redeem at the register or online. Up to 20% of your purchase price will go to support
