Celebrating Older American Month
May is Older Americans Month, and what better way to celebrate than by sharing a personal experience or skill? The Administration on Aging encourages older Americans to Age Out Loud. That can mean advocating for change in your community, learning something new, earning a degree, starting a career, having your career-defining moment or finishing your masterpiece.

Child prodigies make good stories, but have you heard of the 91-year-old marathon runner? Certainly you've heard of John Glenn, who went on a spacewalk at age 77, and J.R.R. Tolkien, who published the first volume of Lord of the Rings at age 62. Whatever your age, whatever your physical and mental abilities, "do not go gentle into that good night." Host an event like a senior open mic night, start an ambitious project or sign up for community classes to keep your mind and body in good shape.
Giving Back To Those Who Matter Most
Thanks, Mom
May is also time to celebrate Mother’s Day. If you’re a mother, it’s time to reflect on the lives you created and helped shape. If you’re a daughter or son, it’s time to say “Thanks” for the life and love you’ve been given.

Paws For People
Did you know that pet therapy is free for Cypress clients? We know from experience that spending time with our therapy dog, Lacey, brightens anyone's day, and especially those seniors who no longer feel comfortable caring for a pet.
“I am passionate about guiding our staff on how to professionally care for our clients. It starts with our incredible caregivers and I am dedicated to forming them so they can in turn serve and support our clients with a professional, but passionate heart!”

Meet Erin

As the Operations Manager, Erin Ditto-McKee handles the day to day functions of the office, human resources operations and compliance.  Erin has 10 years of experience in the homecare/healthcare field.  Her education in Psychology and Religious Studies gave her tools that she uses everyday in working with people, their experiences and their emotions.  Erin loves working at a place with so much heart that truly cares deeply about their clients and employees.  Her passion for working with people and guiding them to be the best caregivers they can make her a vital part of the Cypress team.  When Erin isn’t working, she loves to do crafts, spend time outdoors and listen to music.  On Sundays, you can find her making her own music in the church choir.
