National Dairy Month

June is National Dairy Month! The AgNext team has a number of highly specialized dairy researchers on our team. On the AgNext website, we have a number of resources and publications available related to dairy. Here are a few highlights of the dairy work our team has done: 

Crow Creek Dairy Tour of the Climate-Smart Research Facility

AgNext Dairy Systems Specialist Dr. Diego Manriquez and graduate student Amanda Houghton provided the Crow Creek Dairy team a tour of our facility. On this tour, Dr. Manriquez and Houghton educated the team about the range of technologies utilized at this facility. 

Dr. Diego Manriquez Presents at the Dairy Cattle Welfare Symposium Pre-Conference Meeting

Dr. Manriquez, who was recently named to the Dairy Cattle Welfare Council (DCWC), presented at the DCWC pre-conference meeting. His presentation, given in Spanish, discussed his research of air quality in dairy barns.

AgNext Grazing Team Launches New Grazing Project in Partnership with the USDA

The AgNext team is conducting critical grazing research this summer in partnership with USDA ARS. This project will combine virtual fencing technology and GreenFeed machines to better understand methane emissions in rangelands. Learn more about this project in this new blog.
