Sound bites from DMIA members about JCK Las Vegas 2024

Rapaport

Our annual Rapaport Breakfast at JCK Las Vegas 2024 covered several key topics that are shaping the diamond industry, including source certification, responsible purchasing, and the profound impact the diamond industry can have. This impact was highlighted by guest speakers Mmetla Masire and Maksud Agadjani. Masire, Managing Director of Okavango Diamond Company, illustrated the positive impact of diamonds on Botswana’s economy and society. Agdajani emphasized the importance of educating the public on this impact.

Hasenfeld-Stein

"There’s no substitute for direct face-to-face contact with your clients. We chose the JCK show to introduce a Super-Ideal round and a unique oval and were delighted with jewelers’ reactions to our newly introduced FireOval – a longish oval with no perceptible bowtie. It just about sold out! Despite going to the show with great reservation and trepidation, we now feel that the season will be positive, as jewelers are looking for something different and better," says Hertz Hasenfeld.

Disons Gems

"This year’s show was a fantastic opportunity to meet many of our retail partners and present our new fashion jewelry line.

People know us as a leading certified diamond wholesale company. Still, many clients were happy to see us venture into the jewelry space and display our fashion line, which we (and they) are very excited about," says Jay Mehta of Disons Gems.

Premier Gem

"The show was better than we anticipated it would be. Jewelers were optimistic about the future of natural diamonds and backed that sentiment up with purchases along with substantive plans for future businesses," says Premier Gem’s CEO, Stuart Samuels.

Owl Financial Group

“The recent exhibition in Las Vegas was a tremendous success for Owl Financial Group! Companies showed great enthusiasm in exploring opportunities for liquidity and additional capital for their businesses. We found that many companies are in need for quick capital because their money is tied up in their inventory or in need of financing for purchases at the show. We were thrilled with the positive reception and look forward to continuing these valuable partnerships,” says Kathy Hillelson of the Owl Financial Group.
