Dear Carey Community,
Parent/guardian and teacher conference day is a wonderful day for our community of adults to connect and collaborate to support our students. We see our children’s growth, and tangible examples of how our mission comes to life for our students. The mission and future work of the school is driven by our Strategic Plan, which we are excited to invite the community to participate in shaping.
At the State of the School in January, we shared that The Carey School’s Strategic Plan is ending in 2024 and the Board of Trustees, supported by the administrative team and our consultant, Kelsey Schroeder, is working on our new Strategic Plan to debut January 2025.
Setting a strategic plan for a school is a great undertaking. It requires looking inward at our own community and campus, as well as looking out to the world of education and beyond to set priorities that will create vision for our school for the next five years.
Input from our Carey community will be crucial as we assess new strategic direction for the school and we hope you will all contribute your perspective, ideas and experiences. Through the spring, we will be reaching out to collect survey responses, conduct small focus groups, and even offer one on one interviews to families as well as students. Your time and input is truly valued and we encourage you to reach out if you have any questions.
We are thrilled to consider what the next five years will bring for our community to strengthen our commitment to inspiring curious, confident, joyful learners in an inclusive, diverse community that nurtures kindness, respect and personal responsibility.
