Upcoming Communication Changes for the Advocate Program |

Thank you so much to each of you who shared your feedback through debrief reports, Facebook polls and e-mails around your communication preferences. Due to your feedback, we will be making the following small tweaks to our regular communication cadence. I hope with these changes you will be able to better access opportunities, stay in the know about events and organizational updates and more! These changes will take effect in July.

1st Monday of each month: Advocate Newsletter. This newsletter is moving to be sent on the first Monday of each month at 6:30pm MST.

2nd Monday of each month: Advocate Monthly Call at 5:30pm on Zoom. No changes to the scheduling of the Advocate call, but you'll be able to see a reminder along with any topic plans in the Advocate Newsletter the week prior.

3rd Monday of each month: Location specific e-mails. You will receive an e-mail based on the location in which you live (please update your address on file if you have moved) to be able to share upcoming events, messaging updates as relevant to your community and more.

Father’s Day serves as a powerful reminder of the significance of organ donation and the profound impact it can have on the lives of fathers and their families. By registering as organ donors, we can give the ultimate gift to fathers in need, providing them with hope, and more time. Organ donation allows fathers on the waitlist to witness milestones, celebrations, and the joys of parenthood. This Father’s Day, let us honor fathers by educating ourselves about becoming an organ and tissue donor, sharing our decision with our families, and saying “yes” the next time we obtain our driver license or state ID. Reminder- July Monthly Advocate Call |
Reminder: after evaluating your feedback, we have pushed our 2024 Advocate calls back to 5:30pm to allow more Advocates to join after their workday. We will continue to have the calls on the 2nd Monday of each month unless the call falls on a holiday or other observance week. Donor Alliance Advocates for Life are the heart and soul of our efforts to inspire and inform our community about the importance of signing up to be an organ, eye and tissue donor in Colorado and Wyoming. Each of our Advocates has their own unique and inspiring story to tell. In this month's Advocate Spotlight, meet Melody Connett, a Donor Mom from Englewood, CO. Melody has been an Advocate for Life for over 17 years!

Annually, the Nic Fest and surrounding events bring crowds of over 10,000 people! Please consider joining fellow passionate Advocates for Life to educate and inspire the community to sign up and join the donor registry and help answer questions. Multiple shifts are available. We are looking for a tissue recipient Advocate interesting in joining a Donor Alliance staff member to host a table at an AlloSource staff event from 1:00pm-4:00pm to share their story with the team at AlloSource about the impact of tissue donation and transplantation. To sign up, click here. |

DDS: Brazil Day at Levitt Pavilion- Concert and Fiesta Patio *Donor Alliance staff will be on site
We are looking for 3 Advocates to help staff a table and the Fiesta Patio to educate and inspire attendees to sign up on the donor registry! This will be a fun event to get to connect with Donor Alliance staff as well! A Donor Alliance staff member will be onsite to help support bilingual outreach, so bilingual skills while always helpful, is not necessary.
