Sermon Series: The Act or Action
-ation: noun suffix. The act, or action, or process of doing something.
An encounter with Jesus always necessitates a response, an action. We must “put into practice” that which we experienced through the power of the Holy Spirit. As we return from our Lenten focus on considering what we believe in light of Christ, now we must put into practice that which we’ve been shown. This series will follow the early church as the narrative in the book of Acts transitions from Paul to Peter, from Jew to Gentile, from the known to the unknown.
Liberation
Sunday, April 14th
Liberation: the act of freeing something or someone
from dominion or foreign power.
The Bible is full of hyperlinks. In this week’s passage Saul is liberated from persecution in Jerusalem through being lowered by a basket through the city wall. This story should make us think of another story seen in Scripture (a hyperlink), in fact, it should make us think of several! Join us this week as we connect the dots between Saul, Joshua, David, Moses, and Jesus!”

Daily Prayers, Digging Deeper Guide and coordinating Life Group Curriculum are available each week on Sunday to further explore this Sermon Series. You can find those resources (for this week and ALL previous weeks) HERE or at the Welcome Center on Sunday. | |
Adventure:Kids News
This Sunday in Adventure:Kids, we're diving into Colossians 1 to learn how Jesus is our perfect King. Paul reminds us of Jesus' greatness - as God's Son, He died on the cross to save us from sin and now reigns as King over all.
Key Passage: "Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” -Revelation 5:13
We can't wait to see you this Sunday!
Sermon notes and challenges for families are available on the Adventure:Kids Facebook page, OR click here for a pdf version.

Adventure:Equip Spring Session
Sunday Mornings before service, 9:00am-9:45am
Adventure: Equip is how Adventure of Faith Church seeks to continue the tradition of prioritizing biblical literacy, practical theology, and spiritual practices like the early church. They are participatory courses done in biblical community.
From those just beginning their adventure with Jesus to those who have traveled far with Him, there is a place for you, and we hope you'll join us as we pursue Jesus together.
There are three classes for adults and teens, and a kids class that just started back up! It's a great time to check it out if you haven't yet. Find the new Spring Session classes offered HERE! If you want more info or have any questions, please email Cory.

This section is a weekly reminder that God is Good!
He is good to us every single day & we will praise His name!
| |
This space in the newsletter is a small way we continue to celebrate the goodness of God all year long, and practice being aware of His presence in our lives. So, if you have stories of God's goodness big or small, hit reply to this email and send them our way. We would love to hear them, pray in praise over them and talk to you about sharing them.
To spur your thoughts to God's goodness start by asking yourself these questions:
What Good have you witnessed recently?
What Good has God brought into your life?
What Good has God prompted you to do for one another?
God is Good!!
