Testificari Sermon Series
When Peter comes to visit with Cornelius, he finally sees why he had seen the vision he had and he understood what it was referring to. His heart and mind are opened and he sees that Christ’s death and resurrection has extended beyond the Jews to the entire world. In this third sermon of Peter, he again bears witness to Jesus Christ, this time to a houseful of Gentiles. During this series we will be dig into Peter’s proclamation of the Gospel, both to receive it and to follow it as an example for when we are similarly called to speak about what we’ve seen and heard.
Sunday, August 11th: What Jesus Did
In our Gospel proclamation to others, we must not only share about who Jesus is but share what He has done. This week we shift our focus from who Jesus was to what He did in His earthly ministry and its Kingdom significance for the entire world.

Daily Prayers, Digging Deeper Guide and coordinating Life Group Curriculum are available each week on Sunday to further explore this Sermon Series. You can find those resources (for this week and ALL previous weeks) HERE or at the Welcome Center on Sunday. | |
Adventure:Kids News
This week in Adventure:Kids, is Move Up Sunday! All of our Adventure:Kids will move up to attend the class that reflects their 2024-2025 school year grade level. For some kids, this means that they will stay in the same spot. For others, they'll move to a new class with a new leader!
The kids will be learning how Peter healed a man in Acts 3. With the power of Jesus’ name, Peter healed a man who was lame. Peter and John showed God’s power and pointed to a greater, spiritual healing found in Jesus.
Key Passage: How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? - Romans 10:14
We can't wait to see you this Sunday!
Sermon notes and challenges for families are available on the Adventure:Kids Facebook page, OR click here for a pdf version.

This section is a weekly reminder that God is Good!
He is good to us every single day & we will praise His name!
| |
Our God is Good reflection this week is from Callie:
When preparing for youth summer camp, we knew that many families were in need of financial assistance. We ran with the idea of hosting fundraisers, and hoped to possibly raise around $1000-$2000. Rather than sharing a fundraising goal, we decided to let the congregation know what the total cost of camp would be. God was at work, and He provided! He stirred the hearts of many, which led to selfless generosity. With an additional scholarship from the generous donors at Kids 2 Camp, we are able to send all of our teens and leaders to camp for free!!! God is good, and His financial blessing for summer camp was bountiful this year! All glory to Him!
God is Good!

This space in the newsletter is a small way we continue to celebrate the goodness of God all year long, and practice being aware of His presence in our lives. So, if you have stories of God's goodness big or small, hit reply to this email and send them our way. We would love to hear them, pray in praise over them and talk to you about sharing them.
To spur your thoughts to God's goodness start by asking yourself these questions:
What Good have you witnessed recently?
What Good has God brought into your life?
What Good has God prompted you to do for one another?
God is Good!!
