Kid's Christmas Film Night

Who's ready for a break after hosting or traveling for Thanksgiving? Mr. Van and teens from our Youth Ministry are ready to entertain children 4 and up with games, crafts, Christmas movies, photo booth and more on Friday, December 1st from 6-9pm in Shea Hall at St. Julian Eymard. Let's pack the Hall for an amazing Kid's Christmas Film Night while parents take a night off!

Gratitude & Joy

As we reflect on the Thanksgiving holiday and the beginning of Advent in this year of Be Transformed, our fourth year as Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, we are delighted to continue our special “Gratitude & Joy” campaign. This campaign is an opportunity for us to come together as a faith community to reflect on the many blessings we have received from God and to prepare our hearts for the birth of Christ. Look for more information in the bulletin and find a Blessings Board when you visit church to share something you are grateful for.

Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe

A special Mass on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Tuesday, December 12th, will be celebrated at 7pm at St. Julian Eymard Church with a reception immediately following. This year, our OLBS Rosary Group will also lead us in the Rosary and Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe in the days leading up to her Feast. Please join us on the following days:

Advent Retreat

Save the morning of Saturday, December 9, 2023 for a spiritual journey at our Parish Advent Retreat: He Came. He Will Return. Come, Lord, Show Us Your Face. Let us come together in faith and community to seek the radiant face of our Lord and Savior. We will pray, reflect and take quiet time during the busy Advent season to prepare our hearts for the birth of the infant Christ.

Our presenter this year is Fr. Matt O'Donnell. Fr. Matt, Pastor at St. Moses the Black, is a spirit-filled preacher who feels humbled and honored to share God’s Holy Word—always with the hope of drawing just one more soul closer to Christ!

Christmas Angels

Hey, OLBS, thank you for again adopting more than 100 families in need in our area. We hope you're enjoying your shopping! Here are a few reminders:

• Gifts must be dropped at St. Julian Eymard Church by Sunday, December 10th at Noon. If you finish shopping early, you may drop gifts in Shea Hall (ask in the parish office if you need assistance.)
• You must buy gifts for everyone on your family list. All gifts should be wrapped or in a gift bag.
• Please assemble your wrapped gifts into bags or boxes marked with the family number from your ornament. If you need multiple bags/boxes, please mark each box with the family number and total number of bags/boxes (i.s., 1 of X, 2 of X, etc.)

Have you gotten your Grand Raffle tickets?

Only 2 weeks left! Volunteers from our Queen of the Rosary School will be selling in the vestibules after Mass this weekend and next. The Grand Raffle is a chance to win cash prizes while supporting our Queen of the Rosary School. Tickets are $25 each or 5 tickets for $100 and may be purchased:

• From any School Family
• In the church vestibule at QR/SJE on 12/2-12/3 and 12/9-12/10

A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols

Mr. Van, the Adult Advent and Kids Choirs invite you to a special Advent service on Sunday, December 17th at 5:30pm in Queen of the Rosary Church. Experience the Nativity story, told through nine scripture readings interspersed with familiar hymns and carols. Reception immediately following. All are invited!

Simbang Gabi Mass

As we continue to honor and celebrate the rich traditions of all Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament parish family, please join us on Tuesday, December 19th at 6:00pm in St. Julian Eymard Church for a Simbang Gabi Mass. A reception will immediately follow Mass in Shea Hall.

Teaching Opportunity

Our Queen of the Rosary Catholic School is a wonderful place to teach and learn.
