Gratitude & Joy

As we continue in Advent in this year of Be Transformed, our fourth year as Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, we are delighted to continue our special “Gratitude & Joy” campaign. This campaign is an opportunity for us to come together as a faith community to reflect on the many blessings we have received from God and to prepare our hearts for the birth of Christ. Look for more information in the bulletin and find a Blessings Board when you visit church to share something you are grateful for.

P.S. Please continue to share things you are grateful for as you think of them...even if you've already jotted something down!

Season of Giving

Please check the bulletin and eNews for updates on all of our Season of Giving activities. If you would like to support a Season of Giving, but do not like to shop or can't get out, please contact the parish office and we will gladly help you.

Gospel in Focus

December 17, 2023 John the Baptist makes it clear that he is not the Messiah, but is preparing the way for the Messiah. “He was not the light, but came to testify to the light.” —John 1:8

Discussion Questions

How can we “make straight the way of the Lord”?

Many people mistakenly thought John was the Messiah. Who is someone that you would like to be mistaken for? Why?

John came to “testify to the light.” How can we help others more clearly see Jesus?
