A Kintsugi Workshop will be held from 9 AM to Noon at the Queensbury UMC, 460 Aviation Rd., Queensbury in Clark Hall, led by Rev. Meredith Vanderminden. Kintsugi, which means “join with gold,” is the Japanese art of repairing broken objects, often ceramic pottery, or glass. Gold lacquer is used to piece shards together again, creating a more beautiful object through the act of repair. Kintsugi teaches that, with God’s help, we can turn adversity into something that is beautiful and resilient. We’ll be praying for the Church and for ourselves as we worship, create something new, and share in Communion. No artistic talent is needed. All supplies will be provided. Please contact Paula in the church office for more information or to sign up. Call (518) 793-9728.
